Description

Note If the half-and-half split is not for you, the Duo is available on request with either all aluminum notes or all GRP notes.

The Duo is built as standard with half aluminum notes and half GRP notes in the color of purple-heart wood. Each of these materials gives a distinct sound when played: the aluminum will produce a bright, clear tone when struck, while the GRP is fast and punchy.

The notes of the Duo have no wires or strings and are individually and securely attached to a high-density polyethylene backboard below which sits black anodized aluminum resonators offering maximum vibration with incredible resonance and durability. Each resonator is individually capped with a polyurethane rain baffle. Finally, stainless steel security fixings deter vandalism and prevent the theft or removal of the instrument.

The curvy design is about more than just looking stylish. The wave makes it easier for individuals with a limited range of movement, or players in wheelchairs, to reach all of the notes. Eye contact can present difficulty for some people living on the autistic spectrum, with many only able to process one sensory system at a time. The Duo was designed to allow two people to interact and make music together without the need to look directly at each other, allowing them to concentrate entirely on the auditory process comfortably and in their own space.

Playing the Duo is effortless, so friends, siblings, classmates, colleagues, or even strangers can come together, explore with rhythm, and make great music!

Shipping

All outdoor music products will arrive in plastic wrapped cardboard boxes, and are delivered by UPS. Items are typically shipped within 3 weeks of order date.

If any box is damaged in any way, note it on the signature form, and take photos of the damage (and shipping forms) before opening the box. Some items will arrive in a heavy-duty cardboard box, and any damage does need to be noted on the signature form for those as well.

We have very few instances where a box is damaged and almost zero instances when an instrument is damaged.

Returns & Refunds

If you wish to return outdoor musical instruments, you may use our online form for returns and refunds to initiate the process.

In the event items are returned, they will be checked-in, thoroughly inspected for damage, and we will contact you regarding your refund.

Note: All returned items will have a 30% restocking fee which covers the freight both ways and the cost of restocking the item.
